The lefty is expected to be in uniform for the team's series opener against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park this evening.

In a corresponding move, the Astros optioned LHP Framber Valdez to Round Rock. Valdez is expected to be active for the Express and available to pitch in Friday night's series opener against the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate) at Dell Diamond.

Guduan is heading back to The Show for the third consecutive season. The lefty posted no record with a 3.00 ERA (1 ER/3.0 IP) in two relief appearances with the Express before his call-up. He pitched two innings of relief in Round Rock's 9-5 walkoff win over the Nashville Sounds on Wednesday night.
