Rain Roils Rumble Ponies Mother's Day Plans

Doubleheader resumes on July 17
May 14, 2017

BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton Rumble Ponies games scheduled for Sunday afternoon against the Akron RubberDucks have been postponed due to inclement weather. The suspended contest, halted in the middle of the third inning with the RubberDucks leading 6-3, will be resumed on July 17 starting at 5:35 PM. The teams will play that tilt to a completion of seven innings and follow with another seven-inning game.

Tickets for Sunday's game can be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value to a future 2017 regular season Rumble Ponies game (excluding July 3).

Sunday's postponement marks the Rumble Ponies eighth weather-affected game of the season and the fifth at home. The second game of the Rumble Ponies twin bill on Sunday will be made up as part of a doubleheader which will be announced at a later date.

The Rumble Ponies (18-13) enjoy an off day on Monday before opening a three-game series against the Altoona Curve on Tuesday at 6:35 PM. RHP Casey Delgado takes the mound for Binghamton against RHP Tanner Anderson. The Horizons Federal Credit Union Pregame Show can be heard on Sunday starting at 6:20 PM on Newsradio 1290 AM WNBF and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies channel on TuneIn.
