SALEM, VA – The Salem Red Sox win their third straight game on Wednesday night. Led by Antoni Flores with a pair of doubles and web gems, the Red Sox (39-29) take game two of the series over the Fredericksburg Nationals (22-46).

The Nationals put together a two-out rally in the top of the third to take the first lead of the game. Junior Martina singled to left field scoring Jose Sanchez to give the Nationals a 1-0 lead.

Nick Northcut made a strong case for player of the game tonight early and often. In the bottom of the fourth inning he ripped his 17th double of the season to center field scoring Stephen Scott and Ceddanne Rafaela.

The Red Sox added two more insurance runs from a Nick Yorke RBI single and Nick Northcut scoring on a Leif Strom wild pitch.

Kevin Strohschein would pick up his sixth home run in the ninth inning and provide a scare for the Red Sox, but Devon Roedahl closed it out and claimed his sixth save of the season.
