SALEM, VA – Hosea Nelson’s decisive bases-clearing double decides a back and forth contest. The Lynchburg Hillcats secure the series advantage two games to one after knocking off the Red Sox in game three of the series.

The Hilcats struck first for the third straight time in the series with a Yordys Valdes double down the left field line scoring Cody Farhat. The Red Sox responded in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single from Nick Yorke scoring Eduardo Lopez.

The very next batter Gilberto Jimenez doubled to left field scoring Dean Miller giving the Red Sox their first lead of the game.

The Red Sox would only hold the advantage until the seventh when Ike Freeman singled home Gabriel Rodriguez to knot the score at two. A few batters later Hosea Nelson would take matters into his own hands and deliver a two out, three run double off the wall in left field.

The final tally was 5-2 as Lynchburg moves into second place in the Low-A East North division. The Red Sox and Hillcats will battle at the diamond for game four on Friday at 7:05 PM.
