Sox and Pelicans Series Finale Cancelled

Salem and Myrtle Beach Washed Out at Field
May 29, 2014

With rain falling steadily in South Carolina, the final game of the series between the Salem Red Sox and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans has been cancelled on Thursday night at Field. Because it is the last scheduled meeting between the two teams in the first half, the game will not be made up.

The road trip continues on Friday night as the Sox open a four game series with the Potomac Nationals. It will be Salem's first journey to Potomac this season, and the Sox will look to continue their strong play against the Nationals, having taken three of four from the Nats at LewisGale Field this past weekend. First pitch from Pfitzner Stadium will be at 7:05 on Friday.

The Salem Sox will return to LewisGale Field on Tuesday, June 3 for a three-game series against the Frederick Keys.
