SALEM, Virginia (June 14, 2019) - Sox sweep the Keys in doubleheader fashion during their second longest win streak of the season on Friday night at Haley Toyota Field.

GAME 1:
How it Happened
* Victor Acosta hit a single to left field, advancing to second on another single from Ryan Fitzgerald. Both runners would advance as Pedro Castellanos reached on a fielding error, and Keith Curcio would hit a sac fly to bring home Acosta and give the Sox a 1-0 advantage.
* Starter Bryan Mata allowed three hits, walked two, and struck out five across 6.0 innings of work.
* Zach Schellenger earned the save, pitching a scoreless seventh inning to secure the 1-0 lead.

Noteworthy
* Bryan Mata twirled six innings of scoreless baseball in his first start back at Haley Toyota Field since APril 29th, after coming off of the Injured List just last week. 
* Victor Acosta went 3-for-3 in the first game of the doubleheader, notching his 14th mulit-hit game of the season.

GAME 2:
How it Happened
* Salem jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Jagger Rusconi singled to right field before advancing to third on a double from Victor Acosta. Ryan Fitzgerald followed that up with a single, scoring Rusconi and Acosta to make it 2-0.
* The Sox continued to add to their lead in the third, going up 4-0. After a double from Pedro Castellanos and Keith Curcio was walked, Edgar Corcino smashed a double to bring both runners home.
* Frederick made a push in the fourth, but the Sox held on to the 4-2 win to take game two.  
* Starter Dylan Thompson earned his first win of the season, going 6.0 innings while allowing six hits, two runs, walking two, and striking out two.
* Andrew Schwaab earned his first save of the season, blanking the Keys in the seventh to seal the 4-2 win.
