Refunds due to the change in MiLB schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic are available per request at the point of sale. If you purchased tickets on slbees.com or ticketmaster.com please contact the Ticketmaster Help Line or check the Ticketmaster Help Center for more information. If you purchased mini plans, half seasons, full seasons or group tickets please contact your Sales Representative at the Bees. If any games this season are officially canceled those tickets will be credited towards next season or refunded upon request.
No exchanges will be made for complimentary tickets. Complimentary tickets have a value of zero dollars, and therefore may not be exchanged or refunded. If a game is called due to inclement weather or other circumstances and the game is considered "official" and there is a winner, in this case, there will be no ticket exchanges.
We wish every day during the season was sunny, but unfortunately that is not always the case in Utah.
If it is raining before the game
The Salt Lake Bees have every intention of playing each game, even when the weather forecast may call for rain. Our world-class grounds crew and excellent field drainage system give us a great chance to play baseball regardless of how much it rains during the day. A decision to play, suspend or postpone will often NOT be made prior to the scheduled start time of each game, and a game's start time will more likely be delayed before an official decision is made. This is done to allow additional time to evaluate the weather forecast.
The is NO SET TIME for the postponement of a game due to weather. Each weather situation is different and includes unique circumstances. Any time weather is an issue, we weigh factors that include the amount of rain the field has already absorbed and future forecast, including likelihood of future rain, possible rain duration, and the severity of additional weather. The decision to postpone a game due to weather is made with these, and many other, factors in mind. The most important factor we consider is the safety of our fans an players.
If the game is postponed before the scheduled first pitch, the decision is immediately posted to our website and social media pages, and will promptly be passed along to local media outlets. If our social media channels have not given a recent update then we are still working towards playing the game that day. Please follow the Bees on twitter @SaltLakeBees for the newest updates, or check the homepage of slbees.com to see the most recent tweets.
If it is raining during the game
Once the lineup cards have been exchanged at home plate, the authority to postpone, delay or suspend a game switches from the Bees front office to the umpire crew on the field. Their decision cannot be overridden.
A rain delay is when the game is officially delayed before or after the scheduled start time. Play will continue later that day/night. Tickets cannot be exchanged in the event of a rain delay.
A game that is rained out or postponed will not be played that day due to inclement weather. When this happens, the game is usually rescheduled into a doubleheader the next time the two teams meet.
In the event of a rainout, your Group Picnic ticket will be good for any 2020 regular season home game (excludes July 4 & 24) and may be exchanged at the Smith's Ballpark Box Office for a ticket of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. If the group would like to reschedule their event, the main contact on the account will need to collect all the tickets and return the tickets to their Bees Sales Representative for an exchange to a mutually agreeable 2018 regular season home game, subject to availability.
