The Salt Lake Bees saw their five-game winning streak snapped as the Sacramento River Cats took a 14-5 decision on Sunday afternoon.

Sacramento scored three runs in the first to take an early advantage but broke the game open with a five-run fourth. Thomas Pannone took the loss for the Bees staff giving up six runs in three and one-third innings. Four Bees relievers finished the game for Salt Lake, each giving up at least one run. The River Cats 14 runs is the most Salt Lake allowed in a game since 16 on May 20 at Las Vegas.

Gavin Cecchini logged three hits, including a double and an RBI to pace the Bees offense. Brandon Marsh, Matt Thaiss, Anthony Bemboom and Preston Palmeiro each drove in a single run to account for the Bees scores.

Monday night is a Smith’s Family night at Smith’s Ballpark. Four tickets are available for $20 at www.slbees.com and hot dogs are $1 each. First pitch against the River Cats is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
