The Salt Lake Bees snapped a three-game losing streak with an 8-5 victory over the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Sunday afternoon at Smith’s Ballpark.

The Bees scored two runs in the first inning on a Preston Palmeiro RBI triple, with Palmeiro later scoring on an error. After that Salt Lake never trailed, scoring a run in the second and three runs in the third on Jake Gatewood’s 25th round tripper of the season. The Bees bats would go quiet again until the seventh scoring a pair of insurance runs on RBI singles from Franklin Torres and Brendon Davis.

Salt Lake starter Thomas Pannone logged his third consecutive quality start and picked up his second straight win. Pannone allowed three runs over six innings while striking out three. Jack Dashwood piggybacked Pannone, picking up a nine-out save while allowing two runs (one earned) and also striking out three.

The Bees and Dodgers will meet on Monday night at 6:35 p.m. in game five of the series.
