Albuquerque snapped a 4-4 tie with two sacrifice flies in the 8th inning, as the Isotopes downed the Salt Lake Bees 6-4 on Monday night. The Bees tied the game with an unearned run in the seventh inning, but Raimel Tapia led off the bottom of the eighth with a triple off of Akeel Morris (1-1) and scored on a sacrifice fly to center field by Josh Fuentes. The Isotopes loaded the bases on an error, a hit batter and a walk before another sac fly brought in an insurance run. The Bees went three up, three down in the ninth to end the game.

Salt Lake trailed 2-0 after one, but Chris Carter belted his 13th home run of the season in the second to cut the deficit in half. In the fourth inning, Jabari Blash ripped a solo shot to left, his 13th homer of the year to tie the game. Later in the inning, Carter doubled and scored on a single by Dustin Ackley to give the Bees a 3-2 lead. Salt Lake starter Osmer Morales went a season long six innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits with six strikeouts and just one walk. Carter and David Fletcher led Salt Lake with two hits apiece, as Albuquerque pulls to within one game of the first place Bees.
