SALT LAKE CITY (April 6, 2018) -The Salt Lake Bees traded blows with Albuquerque all night, but fell 9-5 to the Isotopes on Friday at Smith's Ballpark.

The two teams were scoreless through four innings before the Isotopes would break the seal with a three-run inning off reliever Vicente Campos. Salt Lake would immediately get back into it with back-to-back home runs from Chris Carter and Rymer Liriano, the first back-to-back homers for the Bees since September 1, 2015. In the seventh, Albuquerque would strike for two more runs and the Bees would once again respond as Josè Briceño connected on a two-run homer to bring the Bees back within one. Albuquerque would then get three more in the eighth inning and a run in the ninth to ultimately put the game out of reach. Bees outfielder Jabari Blash led off the ninth with a triple and scored on a wild pitch to try and ignite a rally, but Salt Lake would get no closer.
