Rehabbing Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mickey Moniak was the star of the show Wednesday night as he and the Salt Lake Bees (61-70) defeated the Reno Aces (73-58) 4-1. Moniak hit a three-RBI home run and made two catches against the wall in center field, showing off his prowess on both sides of the ball.

Jake Palomaki went 2-for-3 with two walks to extend his multi-hit streak to five consecutive games and his on-base streak to eight games. He is now hitting .410 with 10 runs scored and five walks over his last 10 games. Michael Stefanic and Orlando Martinez each had two hits in the game as well.

Adam Seminaris earned his second win of the season, throwing five innings and giving up the only Aces’ run of the game on a solo home run by Jordan Luplow in the fifth inning. A bullpen combination of Austin Warren, Rob Zastryzny, Gerardo Reyes, Kyle Barraclough, and Nash Walters combined to give up just one hit over the final four innings.

The Bees struck first for the second-consecutive game on Moniak’s blast in the third inning. Reno scored their lone run in the top of the fifth, but Stefanic answered right back in the bottom of the inning with an RBI triple to make it 4-1 in favor of the home team. Walters earned his first Triple-A save in his first appearance with the Bees since being acquired on September 4.

First pitch for game three of the series is set for tomorrow at 6:35 p.m.
