SALT LAKE CITY (Nov. 1, 2017) - Bees infielder Nolan Fontana's walkoff inside-the-park home run was selected as the best home run in Minor League Baseball during the 2017. Fontana won a fan vote for the MiLBY on MiLB.com

With the game tied at 4 in the 11th inning Fontana slapped a line drive to the left field gap on the first pitch of the inning. Iowa outfielders Mark Zagunis and John Andreoli collided in the outfield trying to make the play allowing Fontana to complete the first walkoff inside-the-park home run in Salt Lake franchise history.

The home run came as a memorable end to the Bees annual pink night. Players wore black and pink jerseys that featured names of donors, cancer victims and survivors. Jersey and t-shirt sales combined with donations from Swing For Life raised $33,800 dollars for Huntsman Cancer Institute.
The 2018 Salt Lake Bees season begins on Thursday, April 5 at Smith's Ballpark against the Albuquerque Isotopes. A full schedule 2018 schedule is available now at www.slbees.com.
