Offense Pounds Out 11 Runs In Bees Win

The Salt Lake Bees bruised the visiting Reno Aces 11-8 in front of 12,399 fans on Military Appreciation Night at Smith's Ballpark.

The Salt Lake Bees bruised the visiting Reno Aces 11-8 in front of 12,399 fans on Military Appreciation Night at Smith's Ballpark.

The Bees offense scored at least one run in each of the first six innings starting with a four-run first to take an early lead and never look back. All nine members of the Bees starting lineup had at least one hit, with five collecting multi-hit games. Jose Miguel Fernandez led the way by belting his seventh home run of the year. Fernandez drove in four and scored three times on the day.
Osmer Morales go the start for the Bees pitching staff and went five and one-third innings allowing six hits and four runs while striking out four. Morales was followed by Jeremy Rhoades who worked two innings giving up an unearned run. Ralston Cash and Eduardo Paredes finished up the night for the bullpen. The win was the Bees fourth straight victory.
These two teams will meet for three more games in the series with Sunday night's game coming under the lights with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch. Tickets and more info is available at www.slbees.com.
