Oklahoma City jumped in front in the third on a two RBI triple by Henry Ramos and never looked back. The Dodgers added two runs in the fourth, one in the seventh and two in the eighth to put the game away. The Bees avoided being shutout for the first time since June 17, 2017 with a run in the ninth. Sherman Johnson reached on a bad hop single, moved to second on a ground out and scored on a two out, pinch hit double by Ben Revere.
Salt Lake starter Ivan Pineyro (2-5) took the loss, as he went four and one-third innings and allowed three runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and one walk. Connor Lillis-White made his Triple-A debut and gave up one run on three hits in two and two-third innings. In the third game of his Major League Injury rehab assignment, Kole Calhoun went 1 for 5 with an infield single. Eric Young, Jr. doubled in the seventh inning to extend his hitting streak to eight games.
