For the third time in this series, the Salt Lake Bees lost an extra inning game, as the Tacoma Rainiers prevailed 5-4 in ten innings. After Salt Lake could not bring home the automatic runner in the top of the tenth, Tacoma's runner, Jarred Kelenic took third on a wild pitch. Pitcher Kyle Barraclough (1-2) retired the next two batters, while keeping Kelenic at third before Brian O'Keefe, who had hit three home runs earlier in the game, drilled a single to center to win the game.

The Bees were down 2-0 after one inning before Jake Gatewood homered in the second to cut the deficit in half. In the third, Salt Lake would take the lead with three runs, as Jo Adell delivered a two run double and Dillon Thomas would add an RBI single for a 4-2 lead. O'Keefe would force extra innings with solo homers in the sixth and eighth innings. Salt Lake starter Cesar Valdez threw his sixth quality start of the season, as he went six innings and allowed three runs on three hits with five strikeouts and a season high four walks. Kean Wong and Magneuris Sierra led the Bees with two hits each.
