The Salt Lake Bees regained sole possession of first place in the Pacific Southern Division with a 7-6 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Wednesday night.

The Bees trailed 2-1 going into the sixth when they took advantage of four Albuquerque errors to score four runs and take a 5-2 lead. Kaleb Cowart singled in the tying run with Salt Lake taking the lead, as two runs score on a fielder's choice and a throwing error by Isotopes pitcher David Holmberg. Nolan Fontana would cap off the inning with a run scoring double. Salt Lake would take a 7-3 lead into the bottom of the ninth, but with one out, Albuquerque put together four straight hits and a sacrifice fly to pull to within one, but Eduardo Paredes retired Garrett Hampson on a comebacker to end the game.
Jeremy Rhoades (1-0) earned the win in his Triple-A debut, as he went two and one-third innings and allowed just one run on three hits with one strikeout and no walks. He came into the game in the third for starter John Lamb, who tossed two and two-third innings and gave up one run on five hits with three walks and one strikeout. Cowart led the Bees' eleven hit attack with three singles and two runs batted in, while Fontana added two hits and two RBI. Jabari Blash belted a solo homer in the fourth inning, his 14th of the season and that ties him for the league lead in roundtrippers.
