Sacramento evens up the series at one win apiece, as the River Cats rolled to an 8-3 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Friday night. Sacramento scored two in the second inning, one in the third and five in the fifth with four coming in on a grand slam by Giants rehabbing outfielder Jaylin Davis. The Bees would score one run in the sixth, as Scott Schebler reached on a two out walk, moved to second on single by Jake Gatewood and scored on a single by Anthony Bemboom. Salt Lake would get a two run homer by Matt Thaiss in the seventh, but the Sacramento bullpen closed out the game by retiring the last nine batters they faced.

Salt Lake starter Jake Buchanan (1-4) took the loss, as he went four plus innings and allowed seven runs, six earned, on eight hits with six strikeouts and two walks. Jake Petricka pitched two innings in relief and retired all six batters he faced, three by strikeout. Bemboom would end up with two hits and one run batted in, while Jo Adell added two hits, including a double.
