Allen and Overstreet Power Missions to 8-4

SPRINGDALE-Jesse Scholtens fanned eight over six scoreless innings in his Double-A debut to lead the Missions to a 5-2 win over the NW Arkansas Naturals Monday night at Arvest Ballpark.


The win was the club's fourth straight, and at 4-1 they've matched the best five-game start by a Missions club since 2007.


Austin Allen and Kyle Overstreet both collected three hits to lead an 11-hit attack. They each homered in the top of the eighth inning.


Allen and Josh Naylor both extended their season-opening hitting streaks to five games.


Since being held to one run and three hits opening night, San Antonio has scored 24 runs while batting .311 over the last four contests.


They have homered in all five games on the trip.
