SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Missions are thrilled to announce a comprehensive season-long marketing partnership with Circle K.
Circle K, an international chain of convenience stores, will be recognized as the Missions' presenting sponsor of the 2018 season.
"Valero Corner Store is proudly becoming Circle K and we're very excited to work with such a great baseball team, the San Antonio Missions," said Circle K Texas Vice President Paul Rodriguez. "We look forward to our growing partnership. We could not do this without the support of our amazing customers."
"We're extremely excited about this partnership," said Missions General Manager Dave Gasaway. "Circle K is a tremendous brand and with their help we will be providing our fans with some terrific new features for this upcoming season."
In addition to presenting the Missions' 2018 season, Circle K will also sponsor several other elements for the club, including a unique Texas League History feature on social media, Sunday Fundays and a Military Appreciation Night on May 23.
The season-long social media initiative will focus on celebrating San Antonio's 100+ year history in what will be the franchise's final season in the Texas League. Circle K's Sunday Fundays will give fans a chance to purchase four infield reserved seats for just $20 during each Sunday home game this season.
The 13-time Texas League champions will open the 2018 campaign on Thursday, April 5 at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock, AR when they square off with the Arkansas Travelers (Seattle Mariners AA) for the first of three. Following their series with the Travs, the Missions will play another three-game set against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals AA) from April 8-10.
San Antonio kicks off its 25th season at Wolff Stadium on Thursday, April 12 when they take on the Travelers at 7:05 PM. The Missions' opening homestand, which includes another series with the Naturals, runs through April 17.
