FRISCO- -The Missions maintained their two-game lead in the South Division while reducing their magic number to four thanks to a 3-1, 10-inning win Tuesday night over the Roughriders at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.
Fernando Tatis broke the tie when he scampered home on a wild pitch issued by Frisco reliever Johnny Fasola.
Kyle Overstreet flared an rbi-single to shallow right that popped in and out of the glove of second baseman Eliezer Álvarez, scoring Austin Allen from second.
Eric Yardley worked out of trouble in the ninth by inducing a bases-loaded double-play and was credited with the win.
Brad Wieck locked down his ninth save of the year with a perfect inning of work.
Taylor Kohlwey, Michael Gettys, and Overstreet all had two hits apiece for San Antonio, which improved to 41-24.
