SOUTH BEND, IN - For the second time in three years, South Bend Cubs radio broadcaster Darin Pritchett won the Spectrum Award for Best Sports Broadcast from the Indiana Broadcasters Association.
In 2015, Pritchett won the same award for his work with the Cubs in Radio Market 2. This year, he beat out broadcasters in Fort Wayne, Evansville, and Indianapolis in Radio Market 1 including coverage of the Indianapolis 500.

"It's not surprising to see Darin win this award for the second time in three years," said South Bend Cubs Team President Joe Hart. "His passion for baseball is obvious on every broadcast and we are very lucky to have such a veteran broadcaster like him behind the mic."
"This is the second time in three years Darin has won this award, beating very tough competition from WIBC in Indianapolis this year," said WSBT Radio General Manager Jim Roberts. "He is so dedicated to his craft and has a work ethic that's unmatched. This award is well deserved and I can't wait to see him take home his 3rd award next year!"
Pritchett, who is also the radio broadcaster for Notre Dame Hockey and host of WSBT Radio's Weekday Sportsbeat, will return for his fourth season as the Voice of the South Bend Cubs.
