ROCHESTER, NY (June 23, 2018) - Trailing 1-0 entering the 6th inning, Brandon Drury belted a two-run home run to give the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders the lead as they stayed ahead the rest of the way in a 4-2 win over the Rochester Red Wings.

Nestor Cortes took the ball for SWB Saturday night and was able to dance through some early trouble, to pitch 5.0 innings of one-run ball. Three errors were committed behind the lefty over the first three innings, to go along with six hits and a pair of walks, but the Red Wings were only able to manage the one run.

Drury delivered his go-ahead homer in the 6th and then the offense kept its foot on the gas, scoring runs in the 7th and 8th innings to extend the lead and never allow Rochester to threaten to tie down the stretch.

The RailRiders bullpen of Raynel Espinal (2.0 IP), Giovanny Gallegos (1.0 IP) and Cody Carroll (1.0 IP) combined to allow one run on two hits and strike out nine men in back of Cortes to secure the win. With the win, the RailRiders draw back to within a game of .500, and they'll look to get to back to .500 (37-37) Sunday for the first time since May 17 when they were 19-19 following a win over Lehigh Valley.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre gears up for the series finale Sunday against the Red Wings Sunday at Frontier Field. The RailRiders send RHP Chance Adams (2-3, 5.21) to the mound against LHP Dietrich Enns (5-6, 5.31) for the Red Wings. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. with pregame coverage set for 12:35 p.m. with Adam Marco and Adam Giardino.
