Annual event set for Hilton Scranton just prior to season opener

MOOSIC, PA (February 27, 2019) - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, will host their annual "Meet the RailRiders" event on Tuesday, April 2, at the Hilton Scranton and Conference Center and tickets are on sale now.

"Meet the RailRiders" will begin at 5 P.M. with an autograph session in the Electric City Ballroom. At approximately 6:30, dinner and the program will begin with a welcome from Josh Olerud, the RailRiders Team President and General Manager, and Jay Bell, the new Scranton/Wilkes-Barre manager for the 2019 season. After the initial 2019 roster is introduced, dinner will be served in the Hilton's Casey Grand Ballroom.  
Following dinner, a question and answer session with Bell and several players will take place in the ballroom as well as the presentation of the 2019 SWB Honors Award. 2019 marks the 30th anniversary season for the franchise, which moved from Maine prior to 1989.
WNEP-TV will broadcast live on WNEP2 with Jim Coles and Landon Stolar leading the fans through introductions to the new and familiar players, features and stories to watch during the upcoming season.   
Adult tickets are $55.00 each while tickets for children 12 and younger are $30.00 apiece. RailRiders season ticket holders will be extended a discounted promotional rate for the event. Each ticket includes dinner and select beverages. Autographs will be limited to a one-item-per-person basis and there will also be a cash bar.  
The Hilton Scranton and Conference Center will host the event for the second straight year and will serve as the hotel for International League clubs visiting Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.
