ROCHESTER, N.Y. (June 22, 2018) - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders game against the Rochester Red Wings on Sunday afternoon was suspended in the middle of the fourth. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre held a 4-1 lead when the game went into a delay.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (June 22, 2018) - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders game against the Rochester Red Wings on Sunday afternoon was suspended in the middle of the fourth. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre held a 4-1 lead when the game went into a delay.
There was a 17-minute delay between the top and bottom of the second to work on the playing surface with rain falling throughout the first three half innings. The tarp was put on after the top of the fourth and play would not resume.
Sunday's game will be continued on July 30 at 5:05 p.m. when the RailRiders return to Frontier Field in late July. The June 24 game will be played to a complete nine innings with a seven-inning nightcap to follow.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre travels to Lehigh Valley for a four-game set that begins on Monday night.
