2017 New York Penn League All Stars

Oscar Gonzalez, JJ Berardi, Ulysses Cantu

The 2017 New York Penn League All-Stars have been named. Representing the Scrappers are INF Ulysses Cantu, INF Jesse Berardi, and OF Oscar Gonzalez.

INF Ulysses Cantu was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 2016 out of W.E. Boswell High School. This season Cantu has a .296 batting average with 4 home runs and 19 RBI's. INF Jesse Berardi was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 2017 out of St. John's University. This season Berardi is holding a .304 batting average with 1 home run and 11 RBI's. OF Oscar Gonzalez was signed by the Cleveland Indians as a non-drafted free agent in 2014. This season Gonzalez is batting .296 with 2 home runs and is currently leading the Scrappers in RBI's with 22. 

 

The 2017 New York Penn League All Star game will be played on Tuesday, August 15 at "The Joe", home of the TriCity Valley Cats.
