Darian Sandford hit a walk-off single with two outs in the 10th inning, as the Harrisburg Senators topped the Richmond Flying Squirrels 2-1 on Saturday.

Isaac Ballou scored the game-winning run after he reached base on a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt.
In the bottom of the first, Harrisburg grabbed the lead on a single by Yadiel Hernandez that scored Sandford. Richmond answered in the fourth inning when Myles Schroder scored on an error.
Both Harrisburg starter John Simms and Richmond starter Dan Slania delivered strong pitching performances. Simms went 6 2/3 innings, allowing one run and one hit while striking out eight. Slania went seven innings, allowing one run and four hits. He also struck out seven and walked two.
Derek Self (1-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Collin Balester (1-4) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
John Simms, R.C. Orlan, Andrew Robinson and Derek Self limited to Richmond to just one hit in ten innings.
Sandford singled twice, scored a run, and also stole a base in the win.
Harrisburg improved to 6-3 against Richmond this season.
