Boston, MA - The Harrisburg Senators jumped ahead early 2-0, but the Portland Sea Dogs came back quickly and held on for a 5-2 victory in front of 12,801 fans at Fenway Park.

Brian Goodwin tripled to lead off the game and scored two batters later on Justin Bloxom's sacrifice fly. Harrisburg added another in the second on a two-out RBI single off the bat of Brian Jeroloman.

Portland responded right away with a three-run second inning. Shannon Wilkerson drove in one with a groundout and Heiker Meneses brought in two with a double off the green monster.

Travis Shaw provided insurance with a leadoff home run in the fourth and the Sea Dogs added another in the eighth. The Senators, who had just five hits on the day, brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth, but Destin Hood popped out to right field to end the game.

Keith Couch tossed seven strong innings to earn the win for Portland. Matt Maloney picked up his first save. Matt Grace and Neil Holland each pitched scoreless innings out of the Senators bullpen.

Tomorrow, the Senators conclude their four-game series in Portland against the Sea Dogs. Game time is 1:00 p.m. and the game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website, and it's available through iHeart Radio beginning with the pregame show at 12:45 p.m.
