Harrisburg, PA - The 27th Annual UCP/Harrisburg Senators Sports Memorabilia Auction is this Saturday, June 22nd on City Island. With over 300 items available as part of the auction, this is one of the largest sports auctions in the Harrisburg area. Items up for auction will cover baseball, football, hockey, basketball and other sports, as well as entertainment and advertising memorabilia.
The event started when the Senators returned to City Island back in 1987, and it hasn't missed a year since. Over the years many memorable and unique items have been available to fans and this year is no different. The highlight of this years' event is a game worn 1931 Harrisburg Senators Uniform that was worn by manager Eddie Onslow.
Each year there's a special guest and this year is no different with former Senators player Matt Stairs available for autographs and photos from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Stairs was a member of the 2008 World Champion Philadelphia Phillies and was the Eastern League Most Valuable Player of the Year in 1991 while with the Senators.
The day begins at 8:45 a.m. with registration for the main auction and the start of the silent auction. The live auction begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until the last item has been sold. Parking is available in the main parking lots on the island and the auction takes place in the Carousel Pavilion.

Proceeds from the auction benefit the growth fund of the UCP Foundation of Central PA. Over 1.2 million dollars has been raised in the previous 26 auctions.
