Salisbury, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds have planned a big weekend of games and great promotions. The Shorebirds and Suns will finish a four-game series Friday, Saturday and Sunday (April 5-7). Get your first look at the Shorebirds this season.

On Friday, April 5, the Shorebirds and Suns (Nationals) play game two of the series at 7:05pm.  The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive the "Shorebirds to Orioles" poster featuring Jim Johnson, Dylan Bundy, Brian Roberts, Nick Markakis and Manny Machado.  The poster is presented by the Eastern Shore Health Departments (Wicomico, Somerset & Worcester).  It's also the first Hit the Books night of the season presented by Dr. James M. Crouse at The Brace Place.

Every Friday home game is "Big Beer Friday" at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.  Enjoy $6 32 oz. Miller Lite and Coors Light draft beers.

The series continues on Saturday, April 6 at 7:05pm.  Stick around after the game for the first fireworks show of the season presented by Pohanka of Salisbury.  It's also the second Hit the Books night of the season presented by Dr. James M. Crouse at The Brace Place.

The series finale against the Suns is scheduled for Sunday, April 7 with first pitch at 2:05pm.  The Shorebirds are hosting the annual "Meet the Team Lunch" on Sunday.  It's your chance to meet-and-greet Shorebirds players and coaches before the game up in the Executive Club.  The event includes a buffet lunch of pork sliders, hamburger sliders, peanuts, fresh chips & dip, potato salad, coleslaw, fresh baked cookies and refreshments.  The cost for the "Meet the Team Lunch" is $32 for the general public and $27 for season ticket holders.

Every Sunday home game is a "Strike Out Hunger" promotion.  Bring two canned food items to the Shorebirds Box Office and receive a general admission ticket for just $2.  All the canned food items will be donated to the local food banks on the Eastern Shore.  Plus, new in 2013, all Junior Shorebirds Kids Club members can run the bases after the game.  You can join the Junior Shorebirds for free at the stadium.
