Gigante Trick-or-Treat Contest

Two lucky children will receive opportunity to walk neighborhood on October 31 with mascot

SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants announced today their inaugural Gigante Trick-or-Treat Contest. On October 31, two lucky children will get the chance to walk their neighborhood with the San Jose Giants mascot. One winner will be selected through the organization's social media pages (Like the San Jose Giants on Facebook, follow @SJGiants on Twitter and Instagram). The other will be chosen from Enter to Win contestants at Happy Hollow's Haunt the Hollow on Sunday, October 27.

"If your little slugger or fairy princess is a Giants fan, this is the Halloween contest for you," said Juliana Paoli, San Jose Giants Chief Marketing Officer. "This is your child's chance to experience trick-or-treating like never before and be the talk of the neighborhood when Gigante joins him or her for some Halloween fun."

Kids ages 4 through 12 are invited to enter the contest. Fans wishing to enter on the San Jose Giants social media pages should submit a picture of their child holding their personalized "I want to Trick-or-Treat with Gigante" sign on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Click here to download and print your sign. On Facebook, fans should post their photos to the San Jose Giants wall and be sure to tag @SJGiants when sharing on Twitter and Instagram. The organization will create a photo album of select artistic submissions, so fans are encouraged to be creative. Deadline for entry is Sunday, October 27.

Children who attend Haunt the Hollow on October 27 can have their parent or guardian fill out an Enter to Win submission at the San Jose Giants tent. Haunt the Hollow is Happy Hollow's annual Halloween event that includes trick-or-treating throughout the park and zoo. For complete information, click here.

Once winners have been selected, each will be contacted no later than Tuesday, October 29 and will have the opportunity to go trick-or-treating with Gigante on Halloween for one hour between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.
