The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are back in the postseason for the first time in 20 years, having been crowned the champions of the Pacific Coast League American North Division after a dominant regular season that saw them finish with the second-best record in the PCL at 80-57 and winning their division by 10 games over second place Oklahoma City.
The Sky Sox will face the Memphis Redbirds, champions of the Pacific Coast League American Southern division and Triple-A Affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, in a best-of-five series beginning Wednesday, September 6 at 6:05 pm MDT at AutoZone Park in Memphis. The Sky Sox play on the road for the first two games of the series before heading back to Security Service Field for game three on Friday, September 8, with if-necessary games four and five on Saturday, September 9, and Sunday, September 10 respectively.
If the Sky Sox defeat Memphis, they will play the winner of the PCL Pacific Conference Division Series between the Reno Aces and the El Paso Chihuahuas in the Pacific Coast League Championship Series. That best of five series would start in Colorado Springs on Tuesday, September 12 with game two taking place on Wednesday, September 13 in Colorado Springs before the series moves to the Pacific Conference city for games 3-5 on September 15-17.
