SALT LAKE CITY (July 16, 2017) - Sacramento rallied to score 11 runs over the final four innings to beat the Salt Lake Bees 14-11 on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams combined for 35 hits on the day, posting only five scoreless half-innings. Salt Lake drew first blood with a run in the bottom of the first inning and then the flood gates opened, as the two teams traded blows throughout the afternoon. The Bees looked to be in control taking a 7-4 lead into the sixth inning, but the River Cats scored two in the sixth and three in the seventh to put themselves in front. The Bees tied it back up at 8-all after seven and each team scored three more runs in the eighth before Sacramento put the game away with three runs in the top of the ninth.
César Puello finished 4-for-6 with three runs scored on the day, while Carlos Pèrez and David Fletcher turned in a three-hit afternoon. Fletcher drove in three runs in his second Triple-A outing. Osmer Morales got the start for the Bees in his Triple-A debut, allowing three runs over five innings. The Salt Lake bullpen struggled following Morales as three relievers combined to allow 11 runs and 16 hits to finish the game. Damien Magnifico (3-2) took the loss after pitching the ninth inning for Salt Lake.
The Bees take to the road for a four-game set with the Reno Aces starting on Monday. Salt Lake returns to Smith's Ballpark on Friday night for a four-game Pioneer Day Weekend series against the Albuquerque Isotopes with fireworks following the game on Friday, Saturday and Monday.
