Bees Searching for National Anthem Performers

February 19, 2014

The Salt Lake Bees invite interested individuals and groups to submit an mp3 or YouTube video audition to perform the National Anthem at a 2014 home game. Submissions should be sent to Chance Fessler at [email protected] or mailed to:

Salt Lake Bees National Anthem Auditions
C/O Chance Fessler
77 West 1300 South
Salt Lake City, UT 84115

The Bees require that the National Anthem be performed in the traditional manner with no styling or individual musical interpretation. Please keep in mind that the National Anthem is about honoring America and the men and women that serve or have served our country, and not about the individual or group performing the piece.

The anthem should be performed in a straight forward manner with the utmost respect and honor for what the song stands for. If selected, the same version must be performed at the game as it was on the submission.

Those selected for further consideration will be invited to audition in person at a date to be determined. Those not selected for further consideration will be contacted via email.

The Salt Lake Bees are celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2014 and begin the regular season on April 3 with an eight-game homestand against Sacramento and Fresno. The defending Pacific Coast League Pacific Conference champions will play 72 games at home over the course of the season, with the final home game coming on Aug. 27 against New Orleans.
