Freese and Calhoun Homer in Bees loss

A bases loaded walk in the bottom of the tenth inning gave the Reno Aces a 5-4 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Saturday night. With two outs and no one on base, former Bee Andy Marte and Roger Kieschnick delivered back-to-back singles and Blake Lalli walked to load the bases. Aaron Cunningham worked to a full count before Brandon Lyon's 3-2 pitch missed high to bring home the winning run for Reno. The Aces had tied the game at 4-4 in the sixth, as they strung together five straight hits to produce three runs off of Bees' starter Jarrett Grube.

Salt Lake took a 3-0 lead in the first, as the Angels' David Freese belted a three run homer in the first at-bat of his major league injury rehab assignment. After Reno scored one run in the second, the Bees got it back when Kole Calhoun led off the fifth with the first home run of his rehab assignment. Calhoun went 2-for-4, while Freese went 1-for-3 with two walks. The Bees have now played 43 games this season and 21 of them have been decided by just one run. They are 7-14 in those games.
