Mets Rally Past Stone Crabs 6-3

Dustin Lawley homered in a six-run sixth inning as the Mets rallied past the Charlotte Stone Crabs 6-3 on Monday at Tradition Field.

The Mets trailed 3-0 entering the sixth inning and were held without a hit.  Cam Maron's RBI single cut the deficit to 3-1. Brian Harrison drilled a bases loaded two-run single to make it 3-3. Aderlin Rodriguez's go-ahead sacrifice fly gave the Mets a 4-3 lead. Lawley launched a two-run home run to extend the lead.

Doming Tapia allowed two earned runs over six innings with eight strikeouts for his first victory of the season. Pedro Feliciano tossed a scoreless seventh and escaped a bases loaded jam with a strikeout. Randy Fontanez earned a six-out save as he struck out four and retired all six batters he faced.

The Mets will host the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Tradition Field. Hansel Robles is the scheduled starter for the Mets.
