Mets set new single season home attendance record

108,057 fans is the new record in the 30-year history of the team

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (August 4, 2017) - The St. Lucie Mets set a new single season home attendance record on Friday at First Data Field.
 
Friday's crowd of 3,399 raised attendance this season to 108,057 fans through 53 home openings. The Mets have 13 home dates remaining.
 
The previous record of 105,379 was set in 2011. This year marks the 30th season in franchise history.
 
"It has certainly been an exciting year for the St. Lucie Mets at First Data Field," Traer Van Allen, St. Lucie Mets General Manager, said. "We want to thank all of our great fans for coming to the ballpark to support our team. We still have a month left in the season so we encourage the community to visit us and enjoy all First Data Field has to offer."
 
The Mets continue their seven-game home stand on Saturday. First pitch vs. the Tampa Yankees is 6:30 p.m. There will be postgame fireworks.
