Smokies' Final Game of the Series with Birmingham Canceled

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA - As a result of rain, tonight's game against the Birmingham Barons, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, has been postponed. The game will not be made up with one series left to go for both teams.


Tennessee will travel back home to start a five-game series with the Jackson Generals tomorrow night. Matt Swarmer is expected to toe the rubber for the Smokies, while Joel Payamps is expected to get the ball for the Generals.


Thursday Night's game at Smokies Stadium will be the final Thirsty Thursday presented by Coors Light with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
