Bosen Steps Down as General Manager

Snappers Searching for Replacement
October 4, 2013

BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers Baseball Club has announced that Matthew Bosen will be stepping down as general manager. Bosen served as GM of the club for the past two seasons and during the previous four years as the director of ticket operations. He also assumed the assistant general manager role in 2011.

"Matt contributed greatly to the success of our organization in the six years he was with us," said Snappers President and Chairman Dennis Conerton. "He learned our operation from the bottom-up, had a terrific work ethic and developed a great understanding of our business.   I enjoyed working with him and am happy that we will still have a connection with him at Visit Beloit, one our biggest partners and supporters."

Bosen has accepted a new position as Director of Sales and Servicing with Visit Beloit.

"I truly appreciated the opportunities the Snappers offered me from the beginning of my professional career," said Bosen. "My time with the Snappers was a great experience and I certainly enjoyed it."

The Executive Committee of the Snappers will conduct a search for Bosen's replacement, but in the interim, the general manager responsibilities will be assumed by Conerton in addition to his duties as the club's president.

The Beloit Snappers have been a member of the Midwest League since 1981 and are a Class-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
