The start of Saturday's contest was delayed due to rain and the outcome had to be waited on due to extra innings. Eric Mariñez came up clutch for the Snappers on Saturday night to deliver a walk-off single to break Beloit's four-game losing streak. The game-winner was the second walk-off hit by Marinez this year and the sixth walk-off victory for the Snappers as a team this season. The Snappers are now 5-4 in extra-inning games and 15-11 in games decided by one run.
The Snappers winning moment was set up by a pair of walks in the 10th, but a vital leadoff double by Miguel Mercedes in the eighth allowed Beloit to force extra innings. Mercedes moved up to third base on a groundout and he scored on a wild pitch to tie the game. Quad Cities took a 3-2 lead on a two-run double by Taylor Jones the previous half inning.

Just five days after Zack Erwin one-hit the River Bandits over five innings for his first win of the year, he recorded his first quality start of the season with just one run allowed over six frames. Erwin retired the first eight batters of the night along with four strikeouts of the first five hitters he faced. Quad Cities made Erwin work in the fifth when their first runner to reach scoring position scored on a double by Wander Franco. Quad Cities starter Yohan Ramirez was just as effective. Only two runners reached scoring position over the first five innings against the River Bandits starter.
Mercedes scored two runs and finished the night 2-for-5 to extend his hitting streak to eight games, matching his longest of the season that he previously had way back in April. Trace Loehr knocked home two runs on a double into the right field corner that gave the Snappers a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning. Seven Snappers had at least one hit and five different players worked walks while Kyle Nowlin and Marinez each had a pair of base on balls.
