Bader's three hits accounted for half of the Patriots' six total.
For Portland, Hudson Potts led the way with two hits, including the game-deciding two-run homer in the fourth inning.
The loss is Somerset's fourth straight, marking only their second four-game losing streak of the season.
The 2022 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue as the Patriots host the Sea Dogs again on Friday night with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch at TD Bank Ballpark.
For the Patriots, RHP Clayton Beeter will start opposite RHP Sterling Sharp for the Sea Dogs.
