Patriots Gearing Up For Opening Weekend

Bridgewater, New Jersey — The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, will open their 2022 home schedule on Tuesday, April 12 with the first of six games against the Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers).

This series will be the only time during the 2022 season where the Patriots will host the SeaWolves at TD Bank Ballpark.

The Tuesday, April 12 through Saturday, April 16 games are scheduled for 6:35 p.m. First pitch for the series finale on the afternoon of Sunday, April 17 will be 1:05 p.m.

There will be postgame fireworks on Opening Day presented by Somerset Health Care Foundation, as well as Friday, April 15. The Patriots will host a total of 20 fireworks nights during the 2022 season.

In addition to Opening Day fireworks, all fans in attendance will receive a magnetic schedule. It will also be a Topps Tuesday, where the first 1,000 fans will receive a 2020 Bowman 5-Card Promo Pack. Among those featured in that year’s set are top Yankees prospects INF Anthony Volpe and OF Jasson Dominguez.

The first RWJBarnabas Health Baseball Bingo will take place on Wednesday, April 13 and then every Wednesday home game after throughout the season.

Fans (21+) will also have a chance to win $10,000 at the game on Thursday, April 14 presented by Heineken Light.

Saturday’s game on April 16 is Autism Awareness Night at TD Bank Ballpark, where the game will focus on education about autism and fundraising for the community.

The Patriots’ first home series will conclude on Sunday, April 17, when all kids will get to run the bases following the game. Kids Run The Bases is presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and will take place following each Sunday home game.

Prior to coming home on April 12, the Patriots will begin the season on the road with a three-game set against the Reading Fightin Phils (Philadelphia Phillies).
