Bridgewater, New Jersey – The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A Affiliate, will host Joe Torre Safe At Home Night at TD Bank Ballpark for their Tuesday, July 20th game versus the Altoona Curve at 7:05 pm.
It is the first time the Patriots are hosting the event, but the fourth year that Minor League Baseball (MiLB) is teaming up with Joe Torre Safe At Home to raise awareness about domestic violence. The partnership is also deigned to educate fans about the resources available to help those in need.
Fans will have the chance to win a Joe Torre autographed baseball at the game, as well as receive Topps card packs when entering the ballpark. There will also be a contest to win a trip for two to the 2022 MLB All-Star Game by visiting joetorre.org/all-star.
Joe Torre Safe At Home’s mission is to provide healing, hope, and empowerment to children impacted by violence and abuse. Torre experienced domestic violence in his childhood that left lasting scars. He gained the understanding and knowledge that too many children live in fear, are unaware of how to ask for help, and suffer the same fear that he had as a child. That’s why he and his wife Ali founded Safe At Home in 2002.
