SOUTH BEND, IN - The South Bend Cubs are proud to welcome back Darin Pritchett and Brendan King for the 2019 season on Michiana's Sports Leader, 96.1 FM WSBT.

Pritchett returns for his fifth season as the Voice of the South Bend Cubs. He is a five-time Indiana Broadcasters Association award winner, having won two awards for his work with the Cubs. In addition to his work with South Bend, Pritchett is also the voice of Notre Dame Hockey and host of WSBT Radio's Weekday Sportsbeat.
King will return for his second season as a broadcaster and Media Relations Assistant. During his first year, he was the host of the pre-game show both on the radio and at Four Winds Field on the video board. Beginning in February of 2019, King will return as host of the Cubbie Corner, a weekly video update on the South Bend Cubs and Chicago Cubs farm system.
"We're very happy to be able to keep the team of Darin and Brendan around for another season," said South Bend Cubs President Joe Hart. "At this level, turnover is expected in the broadcasting industry, especially with good announcers. I don't think we could have picked a better duo for our All-Star season."
"There's something special about listening to baseball on the radio," said Bill Gamble, Director of Programming and Content for Mid-West Family Broadcasting South Bend. "Great announcers can put you in the park even when your miles away. We're glad to have the talents of Darin and Brendan back for another year of great baseball on the radio."
"I couldn't be more thankful to Andrew Berlin, Joe Hart, Chris Hagstrom and the South Bend Cubs organization for welcoming me back to the broadcast booth for the 2019 season," King said. "Calling games for the Cubs in 2018 was a pleasure each day. I'm thrilled to once again share my love of baseball with the fans on the air!"
South Bend Cubs baseball will begin its fifth year on Michiana's Sports Leader 96.1 FM WSBT when the team opens the season at Four Winds Field against the West Michigan Whitecaps. Currently, the games are contracted on 96.1FM through 2020.
