South Bend Cubs and 96.1 FM WSBT Announce Broadcast Extension

Games will air locally on 960 AM and 96.1 FM through 2020.

SOUTH BEND, IN - The South Bend Cubs and 96.1 FM WSBT, a Mid-West Family Broadcasting affiliate, have announced a three-year extension of their radio broadcast agreement. The upcoming 2017 season was the final year of the original three-year deal, which now extends through 2020.

"96.1 FM WSBT has been a great partner over the last few years," said South Bend Cubs Team President Joe Hart. "As a Chicago Cubs affiliate, there is a huge interest in the development of future Cubs players. We are proud to be able to continue to keep Cubs fans up to date on the future of the organization through our radio broadcasts."

"I can't thank the South Bend Cubs and their staff enough for all they've done for our community and as partners in our radio broadcasts, said 96.1 FM WSBT General Manager Jim Roberts. "Interest in this team has grown each year and we expect that to continue. 2017 is going to be another great year on the radio and at Four Winds Field!

Darin Pritchett will return for the 2017 season as the Voice of the South Bend Cubs. Games can be heard locally over the air on 960 AM and 96.1 FM. Fans outside the region can listen online at SouthBendCubs.com or WSBTRadio.com as well as on their mobile devices using the 96.1 FM WSBT app. 

About the South Bend Cubs

The South Bend Cubs are the Class A minor league affiliate of the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs.
