Special themed jerseys highlight TWO Star Wars Days

After rain washed out Star Wars Day in 2012, we are doubling down in 2013 with two Star Wars Days this summer with special themed jerseys, our best yet, and more! Join us Saturday, July 13 (post-game sleepover/movie on the board) and Monday, August 26 for our most popular day of the year!

"We were devastated that Mother Nature did not cooperate in 2012, washing out our Star Wars Day," said Spinners Director of Media Relations Jon Boswell. "While we were able to bring our friends from the 501st Rebel Legion to Fenway with us for our Futures at Fenway Game, it was not the same without their annual visit to LeLacheur Park."

In an effort to rectify the problem for 2013, the Spinners are hosting not one but TWO Star Wars themed games for the 2013 season. During each game the Spinners players and coaches will wear specially themed jerseys. If you look closely, you'll notice many of Star Wars most iconic images/characters including Yoda, Darth Vader, the storm troopers and the Deathstar!

"We are excited to take our themed jersey to the next level for 2013," said Director of Merchandising Jeff Cohen. "Working with Wilson Sports, we were able to incorporate a number of graphics that we think fans are really going to be excited about."

Fans will have an opportunity to take home their favorite player's jersey through a Silent Auction held at both games where all proceeds with benefit Lowell Spinners Charities and go directly back to the Merrimack Valley community!

In addition to the special jerseys, characters from the movies will be on hand for autographs, photographs and more!

Tickets, starting at just $5 for group tickets of 30 or more, and fans wishing to participate in the Sleep Over on July 13 can purchase those tickets, which include your game ticket online here (Sleepover Tickets), while individual tickets, starting at $6 can be ordered online or by phone at (978) 459-1702 today!
