Indians and SWX Announce Broadcast Dates

Six Spokane Indians games to be televised on SWX in 2014
April 8, 2014

Spokane, WA - The Spokane Indians and SWX have announced the broadcasting dates for the six televised games in the upcoming 2014 season, starting with Opening Night Fireworks on Friday, June 13th, as the Indians will play host to the Eugene Emeralds. There will also be two games in July, and three in August.

Sam Adams, SWX Director of Sports, will return to the broadcast booth as the Indians play-by-play announcer, with color commentary to be provided by Mike Boyle, Bob Castle, and others.

"Spending the summer at Avista Stadium is a perfect fit for SWX and Spokane," said Adams. "I've been a baseball fan since I was a child, so being able to call Indians games from the Bob Robertson Press Box is an honor and a privilege. I can't wait to see which future big leaguers take the field this season."

"The televised games have been a huge success since we first started this partnership five years ago," said Indians Senior Vice President Otto Klein. "SWX captures the excitement of Indians baseball perfectly and we can't wait to see more of the same in 2014."

In addition to Opening Night, the other televised games include: Saturday, July 5th against the Vancouver Canadians; Saturday, July 19th against the Everett AquaSox; Friday, August 1st against the Hillsboro Hops; Friday, August 8th against Everett; and Saturday, August 16th against the Tri-City Dust Devils.

SWX TV is a sports and weather division of KHQ Broadcasting, and can be seen over-the-air and through some cable services in the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene, Kennewick-Pasco-Richland, and Yakima viewership areas. You can also watch SWX on your smart phones by downloading the Watch SWX app. For more information about SWX visit www.swxrightnow.com.
