Indians Announce 4th Of July Pennant Run

For third consecutive year, fun run will finish on home plate at Avista

Spokane, WA - The Spokane Indians are keeping the 4th of July Pennant Run, presented by Washington National Guard, right where it belongs: safe at home.

The Pennant Run will be on Friday, July 4th, at 10:30 AM, and marks the third consecutive year the annual fun run will take participants through the campus of the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center and end at Avista Stadium on home plate. The Wounded Warrior Project, which provides assistance to severely injured service members during their time between active duty and a civilian lifestyle, will continue to be the event's primary beneficiary.

The event features three levels of participation: the 5K Pennant Run, the 1K Kids Run, and the Little Sluggers Dash (free for children three and under). The Spokane Indians will present an exclusively engraved baseball bat to the top male and female performers in the 5K and 1K divisions. The Little Sluggers Dash gives children the chance to circle the bases with OTTO the Mascot all while enjoying snacks and other fun activities in the infield.

Early registrants will be guaranteed a commemorative technical T-Shirt on race day, as well as a ticket to the 4th of July Fireworks game that night against the Vancouver Canadians. Early Bird registration ends on Sunday, June 15th; Late registration is open until one hour prior to start of race. Those who register late will receive their shirt approximately two weeks after the race.

The Spokane Indians will be promoting the Pennant Run at the Bloomsday Tradeshow Friday, May 2nd from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

About the Indians

The Spokane Indians open the 2014 season on Friday, June 13th, against the Eugene Emeralds, and will be televised on SWX TV.
