Mateo Gil Celebrates Birthday with Two Home Runs

Mateo Gil celebrated his 22nd birthday in style with a pair of home runs and three RBIs but it wasn't quite enough as the Indians fell to the Canadians, 5-4, in front of 3,762 fans at Avista Stadium for the Fan Appreciation Day Game presented by Corona Hard Seltzer and 94.1 The Bear.

TOP PERFORMERS

Gil recorded the second multi-HR game of his career and finished 3-for-5 on the day.

Boby Johnson, Shelby Lackey, and Adam McKillican combined for 3.2 scoreless innings of relief out of the bullpen.

Hunter Goodman extended his hitting streak to six games with his second straight multi-hit performance.

The Hops (39-49) piled up 18 hits in their 18-5 drubbing of the Dust Devils (38-49).
