Indians Pile Up 13 Hits in 5-4 Loss to Frogs

SPOKANE, Wash. - Five Spokane batters had multiple hits but the Indians left eight men on base in a 5-4 loss to the AquaSox in front of 4,530 fans at Avista Stadium for Storybook Princess and Book Drive Night presented by The UPS Store.

TOP PERFORMERS

Braiden Ward, Zac Veen, Grant Lavigne, Julio Carreras, and Nic Kent all had a pair of hits in the loss.

Carreras extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a fourth-inning single. Spokane's shortstop is hitting .416 (15x36) during the streak with four doubles, one home run, and 11 RBIs during his current nine-game hitting streak.

Adam McKillican and Austin Kitchen both tossed two scoreless innings of relief to keep the Indians in the game.

AROUND THE NORTHWEST LEAGUE

The Dust Devils (30-35) scored five times in the seventh inning of their 8-6 win over Eugene (39-26).
